Microlino Electric Car
Drawing its inspiration from the 1950's era BMW Isetta, this compact electric city car reminds us of the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe from the 90s. Although its not yet available to the public, the two-seater Microlino is only 8 feet long and allows entry for both the driver and passenger through the single front door. The Microlino rides at around 56 mph and can travel almost 125 miles on a single charge. We like to follow these all-electric vehicles that are pushing the trend forward and we'll keep you apprised on this one.
Opener BlackFly Flying Car
One part car, one part plane, the BlackFly flying car is a step towards the future promised in the Jetsons. Dubbed an electric personal aerial transportation system, the BlackFly features triple-redundant flight controls, isolated batter cells, cruise control, landing assist, vertical takeoff and landing capability and a small storage footprint that allows you to store/park anywhere. From the companies official site:
Opener's BlackFly heralds a new era of aviation. Time and money spent traveling and maintaining infrastructure will be reduced. People will go places they never thought possible.. Opener - the parent company behind BlackFly - aims to bring this to market next year with initial pricing expected to cost around the same as a standard SUV.
